Joined Oct 15, Messages Will any of the new version d support xbox live even tho it is 4.?? Also, the d-link website says that router can do 64bit wep, bit wep, wpa, or I just want to run it at wep period. Joined Nov 6, Messages Answer: 1. Regardless of the Firmware version if you are using the latest Firmware it should be compatible with xbox live. You need to OPEN some ports on the router for your xbox. Another thing.
Dynamic-turbo works more like a turbo now. When connected the G stays at 54 mbps but when I try to copy large file in the net the connection automatically goes up to mbps - on demand which is great. I'm on 2. I'll wait till I feel a little more daring to upgrade. Or wait till I'm bored and want a problem to fix, maybe then i'll upgrade. For now, I'm happy with 2. Well it still reboots on phone calls just not as often - before it was every seconds and now it reboots times on every 7 seconds and then it works for seconds Switched back to no turbo.
RoachX2 join Scarborough, ON. Strangely, I've had no problems with any of the previous firmware, but on my DI C1 with the 2. But the wireless connection seems to be stable with no disconnects since last night. With earlier firmware my laptop wireless card will disconnect every half-hour.
So far so good Upgraded to 2. WPA is still erratic with declining Tx rates all the way down to 5 Mbps. I've tried with both static and dynamic G and no observable change. WEP is solid on my setup. I've made some changes requiring router reboots so I don't have much history yet. But during one short period of time, I saw multiple leases to one of my wireless clients the G Otherwise, I see no difference between 2. Edit: One thing of many! Anyone know why? All of a sudden the house security system went haywire because it didn't have an outside line to dial into, since the router wouldn't allow it.
I'm happy with 2. Out of curiosity, what are your DHCP setup paramethers? Particularly lease length? My default lease time is set to the max of 1 week. But so far, no reboots. This was the first firmware that didn't reboot within 10 seconds of using my 2. However, it still reboots after several minutes of using the phone. Since I'm using VoIP through the router, this is not a good situation. I received a new Linksys WRT54G in the mail yesterday, but held off opening it to give this new firmware a try.
Looks like I'm going to keep it afterall. Bye bye, D-Link. I have disabled DHCP thinking that it was a problem with lease length. I use static IP for my local network 1 server, 1 workstation and laptop wireless and still got the Wireless PC connected message every half-hour. It then says the modem has been restarted and update complete. I click browse, locate the latest firmware zip file and click update.
Article Slashdot. Would you ever expect the company that makes the product to try and DNS and sent me to a website trying to sell me a software subscription.
I recently ran into this myself when trying to troubleshoot my router. I could have sworn this update was there a short time ago and I can see from other forum posts that it worked in the past. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance! I already could enable QOS to was not.
I ran four cities twice on the speakeasy. I was surprised, because I figured that old v2 WRTG mhz processor might have been holding me back. J'ai couru huit tests de vitesse simples avec. I didn't find it worthwhile except for potential all, but for wired there is no change to speak of. I've not really spent time on wireless yet to compare at it didn't quite handle the mbps fios package all that well I am trying to coble together two and am instructed to reload the firmware.
When I attempt to do so, the firware does not recognize the device although the device shows up in My Computer as a Zen Xtra. I receive a message: "Firmware Problem," non-working Zen Xtras into a working one.
