Sabotinova made an enormous contribution to the preservation and furthering of the Bulgarian folk heritage. Throughout the s and s she also played an active role in a number of social activities for the benefit of disadvantaged children. The song in the video below is about two shepherds held captive by a mountain, each begging it to let him go — one claiming that his mother is waiting at home, the other that his wife awaits him.
